This summer we will be offering a multi-district summer band program for all students currently involved in the Beach Park and, North Prairie Band Programs. Summer band is a good opportunity for students to enhance their musical training. This is an opportunity to build on what they’ve learned over the school year and to keep them musically active. It is also a great opportunity for students to receive much more individualized attention than they receive during the school year, at a fraction of the cost of private lessons.
In an attempt to work around the holiday and various other camps, we are offering TWO sessions this summer. The FIRST session will be from June 18 - June 28. The SECOND session will be from July 9 - July 19. All students enrolled will receive TWO 1-hour small group lessons per week. We will work on music fundamentals and small group ensemble playing. Both sessions will culminate in a performance scheduled at Rolling Hills Manor nursing home on Friday, July 20 at 9:45 AM. The cost for each two-week session will be $30.00 per student per session, or $50 for BOTH sessions. We do not pro-rate fees for partial sessions. NO BUS SERVICE IS PROVIDED. PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTATION. If you are interested in the program, please fill out the permission form and return it with the $50.00 fee by Friday, May 25, 2018. (Ask your band director for a permission form!) We certainly hope that your child will be able to take advantage of this program. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your home school’s band director. No refunds will be given after May 25, 2018. Please contact us if you have any questions! We look forward to seeing you this summer.
